La Kadischa – Hydro Power Plant Cascade
Project objectives La Kadicha - Société Anonyme d'Electricité du Liban Nord (Sal) operates in the Nahr Abou Ali Basin (Qadisha Valley, Mount Lebanon) four hydropower plants with 21.3 MW total installed capacity. The operator was pursuing the rehabilitation and modernization of the plants, built in the years 1928 to 1961.

Project content La Kadischa is a valley app. 20 km South East of Tripoli. Within the years 1928 & 1961, 4 Small Hydro Power Plants have been constructed. Although the generating units are in working conditions the powerstations need to be rehabilitated and upgrade to the state-of-the-art technology.
Project specifics Alpine region with intake elevation 1820 m.a.s.l. and powerhouse elevation 1545 m.a.s.l.
Services Consultancy services for technical assessment of the power plants, turbines, generators and plant accessories, analysis of the availbale hydrological data, identification required technical modifications, evaluation of the estimated benefits of the rehabilitation/modernization works, providing cost estimates. Drawing up technical specifications and preparation tender documents for the new E&M equipment.
