Small Hydro Power Plant Gudauri
Project objectives
On behalf of a private investor, the team of CES clean energy solutions was awarded a contract for planning the run-of-river Gudauri hydropower plant in northern Georgia and for registration as a CDM project.
Project data
Gudauri hydropower scheme comprises construction of two water intakes designed to the Tyrolean Weir system, separate sand traps, day reservoir with 50,000 m³ storage volume, 5.2 km penstock, powerhouse, power evacuation equipment with switchgear, and all local infrastructure including the access roads.
Project content
The team of CES clean energy solutions assisted the client for registration at UNFCCC as a CDM project. The engineering contract covered the various planning stages from preliminary design and configuration of facilities, determination of costs, approval design up to detail engineering and design of the hydropower plant structures. In addition to planning, the consultants drew up the specifications and tender documents.
