As part of the LEED certification process for Unit B06, CES was contracted to deliver comprehensive technical services covering key prerequisites and credits required for certification. This includes both commissioning (Cx) and energy modelling activities, essential for achieving optimal building performance and aligning with LEED standards.
The commissioning services were carried out in accordance with ASHRAE Guidelines 0-2005 and 1.1–2007, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and renewable energy systems. The scope focused on enhancing building performance in areas such as energy use, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and long-term system durability.
In addition, CES performed building energy modelling to meet the requirements of:
-
LEED Prerequisite: Minimum Energy Performance
-
LEED Credit: Optimize Energy Performance
The modelling process included the development of both baseline and proposed building scenarios in line with ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1–2010, Appendix G. The final deliverables included a detailed energy modelling report and narrative, submitted as part of the LEED certification application.
These services contribute directly to the project’s sustainability goals and the achievement of LEED certification, supporting energy efficiency and environmental responsibility from design through to operation.
