Vienna, Austria – ORF Vienna Broadcasting Center – Asbestos Related Site Supervision

In object 6 of the ORF Centre Vienna, in the area between the former kitchen (level 1) and the air conditioning centre M (room no. 6A22) solid and weakly bonded asbestos-containing components and artificial mineral fibres are used in building services installations. According to the remediation concept, the presence of the following hazardous products is to be assumed: – weakly bonded asbestos-containing sealing cords in flanges, – weakly bonded asbestos-containing fabric at district heating converter stations – KMF insulation on ducts. These are to be removed properly in abatement zones and the corresponding areas cleaned before a reutilisation.
