Vienna, Austria – MEP Design for Core Campus Redevelopment – CEU Otto Wagner Areal

Major renovation of the monumental protected and important Viennese ‘Otto Wagner Spital’ area. The whole area shall be further used by the Central European University (CEU) and has a development area of approximately 285.000 m². The buildings considered in this project only considers inputs for the infrastructural project and additionally, for the campus core area, consisting of 8 pavillons and 3 major buildings (administration, theatre, kitchen). The university aims for the net-zero or even plus-energy campus development, so innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency are the major topics. The design team consists of an Austrian team, the CEU (located in Hungary) and the international architectural company KPF, located in Berlin, London and in the United States. The design will be BIM based LOD300, but only for coordination purposes and no further usage in facility management.
