The overall objective of the Ukraine Higher Education project was to reduce the running costs of participating state higher education institutions and to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and academic research facilities. The Energy Efficiency Component included energy efficiency investments aiming at the refurbishment of existing teaching, research and supporting facilities in the participating universities to improve their energy efficiency.
The Assignment was to facilitate the timely and cost-effective implementation of the Sub-projects. For Phase II, the Project stakeholders have agreed that NEFCO will finance the implementation of energy efficiency investments aiming at the refurbishment of existing teaching, research and supporting facilities of the following four universities: (i) Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, (ii) Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, (iii) Uzhhorod National University and (iv) Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
