The main objective was to provide detailed technical assessment of RE projects during the due diligence stage, as well as Supervision of RE projects during their construction via providing the Bank clearance before disbursements. GGF is a unique public-private partnership established to promote Energy Efficiency and foster Renewable Energies and reduce CO2 emissions. GGF’s investments seeked to achieve a 20% reduction in energy consumption and/or a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions. The GGF Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) intended to provide focused technical assistance for the utilization of GGF funding for RE projects in line with the Fund’s requirements.
