Before demolition of the building with a volume >3,500 m³, it was obligatory to carry out the contaminant and pollutant investigation according to ISO EN 16000-32. The survey was intended to ensure that all potentially hazardous working materials were identified and treated accordingly.

The existing school (built in 1969) was extended. The existing boarding school (east wing extension) was demolished down to the supporting structure and rebuilt. The services included the legally required comprehensive pollutant and contaminant investigation according to ÖNORM EN ISO 16000-32, due to the assumed exceeding of 750 t of demolition material and a total gross volume of more than 3,500 m³.

OUr services

The services essentially included the following required (Recycling Building Materials Ordinance § 4 Para. 2); Investigations of a comprehensive pollutant and contaminant survey according to ÖNORM EN ISO 16000-32, in particular, an overview of the inspection locations; Tabular listing of the occurrences with the parameters location, product, estimated masses of the contaminants and pollutants; An indication of the type of remediation for each pollutant/contaminant deposit; Photo and plan overviews and excerpt from laboratory analysis reports.
