Vienna, Austria – Soil Chemical Assessment with Limited Analytical Scope (23-29 Obere Donaustrasse)

Document research on the site's use history revealed potential soil contamination due to past use. A soil sampling plan was developed and drill points were established to obtain a representative overview of subsurface conditions. As a first step, a preliminary munitions reconnaissance was conducted to minimize the risk from undiscovered unexploded ordnance. Subsequently, near the munitions reconnaissance, pile core probing was carried out down to a depth of approx. 3 meters. The soundings were supervised and subjected to on-site sensory evaluation. The resulting abbreviated laboratory analysis of the soil samples was interpreted and is part of the final report.
