Ukraine – EIB: Ukraine Higher Education Energy Efficiency Audits – 2

The EIB contracted the Consultant to conduct over 98 energy audits for buildings and facilities in four universities in Ukraine (Chernihiv State Technological University, Sumy State University, Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University, Vinnytsia National Technical University) and produce recommendations for short- and long-term investments into the energy efficiency measures. The European Investment Bank has initialled a lending operation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MoES) co-financed by the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) that aims at financing a long-term investment programme in the field of modernisation, energy efficiency refurbishment and expansion at selected universities in Ukraine. The consultant has been contracted to carry out energy audits for the selected buildings and heating networks of 4 universities. These four energy audits were used to define the precise scope of refurbishment works in the four universities taking part in Phase I of the Ukraine Higher Education project. To establish a feasible investment program, identifying and prioritizing investment measures in compliance with the applicable technical specifications and standards of the selected investments.
