Chernivtsy, Ukraine – NEFCO: Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings

The assignment was to prepare a comprehensive Feasibility Study, which would provide solutions to reduce the consumption of electric and thermal energy that improve the comfort level, meet the objective of the City’s long-term strategy, and complies with the specific requirements for grant financing (e.g., E5P), debt Service coverage and financing through internal cash generation.

The Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO) was considering credit and grant financing to the City of Chernivtsy (the City) in order to increase the energy efficiency of a number of its public buildings, with the primary objective of reducing natural gas consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
