The objective was to assess the EE potential in central government facilities and develop baseline energy assessments to support these investments. These efforts helped the government to fulfill its EE targets under their National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) as required under the Energy Community Treaty.

CES has been assigned for the implementation of energy efficiency audits in 149 public buildings in Kosovo. During the audits, the Consultant further investigated hazardous building materials (e.g., ACM) and updated the existing public building inventory of Kosovo. CES has further been assigned to support the PIU with a) the design review, b) the commissioning of the rehabilitated buildings and c) the Elaboration of landfill strategy for hazardous materials, specifically asbestos-containing materials. The results and lessons learned were presented in the Frame of a one-day workshop.

OUr services

The Consultant prepared baseline energy and environmental assessment reports including the on-site inspections and interviews, review of documentation, building assessment; assessment of hazardous materials in the buildings, Energy Efficiency analysis; Financial/Economic analysis. Other Services: Survey of the national public Building stock; Preparation of the Environmental Management Framework (EMF); Preparation of a strategy for hazardous waste management; Verification of tender designs; Preparation of a Measurement and Verification methodology; Trainings/Study tour.
