Vienna, Austria – Former Dormitory, Ploesslgasse 2: Construction Site Waste Scheme and Pollutant Survey

The aim was to conduct a qualitative and quantitative determination of waste streams in the course of demolition of the building and underground constructions and installations. The construction site waste scheme was implemented according to Vienna waste management Act § 10ff including a full pollutant survey. The Vienna Chamber of Labour planned to tear down the former dormitory in order to erect a new building. In the course of this demolition, the cellar housing of the building services, partially situated under the adjacent courtyard and green space, was also planned to be broken off.
