Status evaluation of the remaining asbestos deposits in relevant public areas of the Tower and determination of remediation urgency according to Austrian Standards. The Consultant was supporting the DONAUTURM companies since the first partial remediation of asbestos deposits in 1992 on a fixed schedule. In 1998, in cooperation with the Vienna State Environmental Authority (MA 22), a set of measures for the regular verification and evaluation of known asbestos deposits has been defined. In the years 2007 and 2012 there were further partial modernizations in the tower basket in which significant amounts of asbestos fire protective coatings have been substituted.
