The visitor path of the inactive Zwentendorf NPP was to be made accessible again to visitors and employees without any health hazards following asbestos removal.At the inactive Zwentendorf NPP, the suspended ceilings along the visitor walkway near the nuclear reactor and the 400V emergency power system were detected during an annual inspection as containing high levels of asbestos. Therefore, the asbestos deposits had to be properly removed.
