An exploration of potentially asbestos-containing materials and products was carried out at TAG’s sites in order to optimize the company’s health-, safety- and environmental protection, as well as the knowledge of all potential sources of danger.Due to the construction period, asbestos-containing and/or artificial mineral fibers, toxic to humans by inhalation, were expected to be present in the facilities of TAG GmbH. With this regard, a contaminant survey was conducted to locate and mark these occurrences and subsequently quantify them in a contaminant register. The remediation concepts served as preliminary HSEQ guidelines for future remediation and new construction projects, as well as for building management.
