The project aimed to develop an Investment Programme in compliance with the City’s long-term energy strategy, as well as with its municipal energy plan.The Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO) was considering credit and grant financing to the City of Ivano-Frankivsk (the City) in order to increase the energy efficiency of a number of its public buildings, with the primary objective of reducing natural gas consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. The assignment was to prepare a comprehensive Feasibility Study, which provided solutions to reduce the consumption of electric and thermal energy that improve the comfort level, meet the objective of the City’s long-term strategy and complies with the specific requirements for grant financing (e.g., E5P), debt Service coverage and financing through internal cash generation.
